The following are what the students learned during their week at Big Break along with their next step of faith. It is amazing what God did in their lives in just one week!
David: I learned how to communicate the gospel in a much easier way. My next step of faith is to go and share what I learned with others.
Nicholas: I learned that Summer Projects are a great experience and can transform your life. My next step of faith is to share the gospel with one of my family members.
Auburn: I learned to be more confident. My next step of faith is to go out to the beaches to share the Good News
Abel: I learned how to listen to nonbelievers and to have a simple conversation. My next step of faith is to share my faith on my campus and in my community.
Amanda: I learned how to easily break down to an atheist that God must exist from a diagram. My next step of faith is to be an initiative evangelist at school with family and in public places such as beaches in Boston.
Bianca: I learned that God can do great things even when we least expect. He only wants us to trust Him. My next step of faith is to depend on Him to take me to wherever he want me to go.
Michaela: I learned how to be a better listener and not to talk as much. My next step of faith is to be a better leader on campus when I get home
Thomas: I learned the importance of my dear friend, mentor, and teacher Andrew Brown. My next step of faith is to build more confidence and communication skills.
Renay: I learned how to better share my faith with others and I also learned that you don’t have to feel disappointed if someone didn’t accept Jesus. My next step of faith is to trust God about summer project. I’m going to apply when I get home
Jessica: I learned to not hide the talents given to me but to go out and multiply. My next step of faith is to share the KGP with two people who I have a broken relationship with
Timothy: I learned about the great commission. My next step of faith is to apply what I learned to my school and teach them about God.
Marc: I learned that no matter what location or what’s going on, God can be brought up in conversation. My next step of faith is to talk more in school.
Tim: God taught me how to have patience with people. My next step of faith is that I plan to be more of a leader to youth and others at my church
Jude: I learned that the world is looking for peace and truth in life. My next step of faith is to go and minister to my friends and people I meet.
Jamal: I learned the different techniques you can use to evangelize. My next step of faith is to attempt to evangelize to students at UMass Boston
Kenscia: I learned that the work is plenty but the workers are few. My next step of faith is to go overseas with Cru for a year!
Xavier: God taught me that the thing (fear) that I couldn’t overcome on my own, only with him I could. My next step of faith is that God is calling me to South Africa
Lucy: I learned how to listen when having spiritual conversations with people and not just talk and focus on what I want to say. My next step of faith is ECHO Summer Project.
Estella: I learned to have patience with people that I am getting to know and that it is important to have alone time with God. My next step of faith is ECHO Summer Project. Hopefully I can become closer to God and myself and learn about others.
